Enugu Rangers mercurial midfielder Obinna Nwobodo, who is presently a member of the Nigeria Under-20 team listed by coach Manu Garba to feature at next month Africa Youth Championship, might secure a dream move to Dutch giant Ajax Amsterdam if he impresses at the tournament.

A close associate of the player revealed to SL10.ng that the 18 year old was recommended to the Dutch giants, who kept him under watch towards the end of last season, but his super showing at the recently concluded Super 4 invitational tournaments held in Abuja, convinced them he is worth a close view.

" We proposed him to Ajax towards the end of last season, as expected they kept him under watch but, they contacted us after the Super four after watching him and now they will be in Senegal to scout him and three other players",  He told SL10.ng on the condition of anonymity.

Nwobodo who is gifted with good dribbling skills and visionary passes, is expected to play a pivotal role for Nigeria, alongside the duo of Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and Akinjide Idowu, in the midfield for Nigeria at the Africa Youth Championship, which also serves as a qualifying series for the Under-20 World cup, that will take place in New Zealand later in the year.

Ajax boasts of a rich connection with Nigerian players, with the duo of Finidi George and Kanu Nwankwo, the most successful among Nigeria players to have turned out for the Eredivisie side.

this guy is young as for being young even if he is not the age he claim to be he will not be so far from it as for being a good baller he is a good baller coming to ronaldo still being a menace at 30 , that is because he does extra work atfer training and also employ the service of a good dietitian meaning he only takes what is best for his body and not just every junk he sees onlike most players we have that kills them lf with so much alcohol every day not knowing the adverse effects it has on them , if u look in europe u still see who are 28 but can no longer perform at their expected best if u follow recent , u may have read when messi doctor told him change and go back to his formal diet in other to get back his form and we can all testify to that effect of the diet change by the way he has been playing of late to tell what diet alone can do to a player performance so definitely if our players can learn to condition their body well then if will go a long way to keep thier form although that does not change the fact that some players lie but the lying is more like a general thng in world football , if barrisha of sweden who the golden booth at the under 17 world cup was from naija we will say the guy is 36yrs old so lets sometimes be fair on this players too ,. enjoy your day peeps God bless Nigeria....................... ............................

If we are so concerned about their ages, why not go and do fasting and lrayer so that God will give u a revelation of their ages. Which one is u know them in KaKaduna. Them know you for Kaduna? Why all these pull down symdrome. Its just like writing Jamb and gaing entrance to the university, then people start saying u used expo to gain admission. If you use expo u wld be exposed, if you smart u go hold ur ground. So if these guys are old, leave them like dat. According to my boy, "Norring do them"

Mr Goldfish, good evening sir. If what you said is the case, then he may not have a problem providing his original document. I wish him best of luck. Ajax did not sign Kalu Uche because of this their funny policy. I am not sure if that is the same reason they passed up on MOSES Simon. But the truth Is I am a big Flying Eagles fan and I want all of them to make it to Barcelona and Real Madrid. Please don't be offended by my shedding some light on the issue. Thank you

Slyman u Don come here again with this ur age brouhaha. Lol.. I can tell you one thing thou, Obinna Nwobodo is the youngest player in Npfl by a mile. Ive met him in person, I could immediately tell he's a very very very small boy. Talent wise,he's in my honest opinion the best young midfielder in Nigeria. You can take that to the bank.

Ebullient, actually the policy is if you are from NIGERIA you must show the Original birth certificate. Oluwole is not allowed. But they are still interested in Nigerians who can prove they moved to Europe when less than 5 or who were born abroad.

I wish you the best at the championship. Ajax buying a Nigerian will be a shock. After Babangida and Ikedia, they now have a very funny policy
