Nigeria striker Alhaji Gero is delighted with his move to Danish side Viborg FF from Osters IF.
 
Gero has joined The Greens on a three-year contract and will don the jersey number 17.
 
According to investigation made by SL10, several clubs were on the trail of the former Flying Eagles star before he opted for the Danish First Division outfit.
 
“I'm really excited about going to play for my new team Viborg FF,” Gero wrote on his facebook timeline.
 
“With high ambitions and the best, we can reach our goals,” he added.
 
Gero is expected to join up with his new team-mates on 5th January, 2015.
 
An official of club, who spoke to SL10 was very happy with the capture of the sharp shooting forward.
 
“He's a quick and versatile forward,” the official said.
 
“On top of that he has a great record from his homeland down to Sweden.”
 
Gero moved to Sweden during the mid season transfer window in April 2012 from Nigeria Professional Football League side Enugu Rangers to join Osters IF.
 
During his stint at the Swedish club, he netted nine goals in thirty six appearances.
