Management of Osun Babes Hopeful Of Better Nigerian Women's Premier League Outing This Season

The management of the Nigerian Women's Premier League side, Osun Babes FC of Osogbo, has announced the final list of players ahead of the 2014/2015 season. 

Media officer of the club, Olayinka Olawole, said that sixteen players were retained from the team that finished 4th in the 2013/14 campaign.

Olawole said the decision was part of efforts to re-organize the club ahead of the upcoming NWPL season, which is expected to be an abridged one.

He explained that the management and technical crew have been having series of meetings to ensure that the team have the best outing in the upcoming campaign.

Olawole also disclosed that thirteen new players would be drilled to make them get on with the old players in camp, so as to have a very formidable team for the new season.

"We are seriously working on the team, because we want to be very competitive next season. Though we lost some of our key players to some of our rivals, we have been able to sign very good players ahead of the new challenging season,'' Olawale told SL10.

''Notable amongst them are Peter Grace from Delta Queens, Akpojotor Racheal from Nasarawa Amazons, young and deadly striker from Edo Queens Edewor Precious also joined the team and finally the duo of Asabor Rachel and Togolese international Afangideh Blessing joined from Ibom Angels." 

Osun Babes FC will be looking forward to a more fruitful and better days ahead as the Premier League season gets underway on 2nd of May 2015.
