SL10 have confirmed that Franklin Howard has been sacked as Shooting Stars coach after a string of bad results, culminating in defeat to Akwa United on match-day ten of the Nigeria Professional Football League on May 20th 2015.

The former Union Bank tactician masterminded the team's promotion to the elite league from the Nigeria National League, but results during his time in charge in the NPFL have meant that the Oluyole Warriors are in danger of demotion back to the NNL.

The top brass of the club met to discuss his future and his sack was sealed.

The move has been instigated after the latest 2-1 defeat to Akwa United which leaves Shooting Stars in trouble on the ladder at the moment.

Shooting Stars have struggled at home and they have been poor on their travels and find themselves in 20th place.

If they finish in that position they will have to say goodbye to the Premier League and drop to the NNL.

The fans will no doubt be hoping that a new coach takes over soon and manages to turn things around and lead them out of the danger zone.

According to SL10 reporter, Ademetan Abayomi, no coach has been linked with the vacant job.
