Newly promoted GLO Nigeria Premier League side Wikki Tourists, have added Godwin Obaje to their squad expected to be in action in the Nigeria League that will start this weekend.

The younger brother to former Black Leopards and ASO Chlef forward Joshua Obaje, played for FRSC and Mighty Jets last season and also trained with the home based Eagles,Under-20 and 23 and was linked with teams in Europe before his move to Wikki Tourists.

Standing at over six feet, he is a striker by trade, and his tally of 9 goals last season caught the eye of Wikki Tourists in the Nigeria National League (NNL), after he impressed against them in one of the games that lead to their promotion.

The 19-year-old will have his first taste of top flight football in Nigeria, but in a chat with SL10.ng he insist he won't be overwhelmed by the task.

"I have heard it's different from the other divisions of the Nigeria league but I am ready and by the grace of God i will cope with the demands of succeeding in the Nigeria Premier League," he said.

However he refused to set any goal target for the season, insisting he needs to force his way into the team first before setting any target.

' I am joining a team where competition for places is very high, so my first aim is to be a regular, it is not time yet to set goal target but as a team we are expected to push for honours and make our fans smile and by the grace of God am ready to contribute my own quota if called upon."
