SAFA Sleeping On Duty - Reader's Voice

The referee's decision is final up until the Senegal Football Association questioned it and changed that rule.

Bad decisions have been made in the past by referees, teams lost cups and points but they have never received replays. Who can forget 'The Hand of God'? England lost to Argentina in the final of that World Cup through a poor decision by the referee when Diego Maradona scored the first goal with his hand. Should England ask for a replay?

FIFA has confirmed that the World Cup qualifying match between Bafana and Senegal will now be replayed due to bad referring by a Ghanaian match official.

Should SAFA allow that to happen, I will know that they are sleeping on duty. Many teams including Kaizer Chiefs can be stripped of so many titles, as many a team has received favour by a referee.

Has football taken another direction?
