FC Barcelona To Beat Real Madrid To Paul Pogba?

FC Barcelona are edging closer to beating Real Madrid in the race to sign midfield sensation Paul Pogba.

The Catalan giants are reportedly the favoured destination for Pogba by his agent Mino Raiola, whilst Pogba himself favours Los Blancos, according to L’Equipe.

It seems the battle for the 22-year-old Frenchman will go down between the two La Liga giants, with Paris Saint-Germain and numerous English clubs having to watch from the sidelines.

Barcelona’s new director, Ariedo Braida, reportedly met with Juventus director of football, Guiseppe Marotta, for lunch on Tuesday.

Despite both clubs meeting each other in the Champions League final, it seems as though Barcelona are keen to move forward in the negotiations in order to beat Real to Pogba’s signature.

Barcelona’s transfer ban until January 2016 could be a stumbling block, but would perhaps allow Juventus to keep hold of their star for another year.

Both Barcelona and Real are reportedly prepared to offer Pogba €10 million per year over five season, but would have to pay a hefty transfer fee of between €70 and €100 million.
